7 Years of Little Bird

Seven years ago, my life changed completely. My mum became seriously unwell and spent months at a time in hospital. I was living in Manchester but came home to Ripon to be by her side — every day, 8 hours a day, in hospital.

In the middle of that incredibly tough time, I had an idea. There was a pub at the end of Mum’s road, and I decided to organise a small artisan market there. Just something to lift the spirits and bring people together.

35 incredible artisan traders joined me for that first market.

Fast forward 7 years, and…

 • We now run 12 markets every month

 • Host large-scale joint events at venues like Harewood House

 • Organise one-off events throughout the year

 • And provide magical Christmas markets in towns and cities across the region

This business was built from love, from community — and from a moment in time that changed everything.
