FALL INTO SHOPPING LOCAL: LITTLE BIRD MADE CONNECTS COMMUNITY AND CRAFT IN ACOMB

As the colour of the leaves start to turn and the crisp autumn air makes an appearance, the Acomb Artisan Market curated by Little Bird Made makes its return to Front Street, Acomb on Saturday 19 September from 10am to 3pm.

This month’s artisan market invites local residents and visitors to embrace the change in the seasons while celebrating the region’s finest independent makers, bakers, and creators. Featuring a curated lineup of Yorkshire artisans, visitors will find seasonal baked goods, cosy handcrafted goods, stylish clothing, homeware and home fragrance, original artwork and stunning handcrafted jewellery.

The event offers a vibrant alternative to online shopping, giving you the opportunity to meet the face behind the creation, allowing shoppers to invest directly in small businesses and local talent.

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director and Founder of Little Bird Made said:

“The Autumn season brings a shift in what people look for, from cosy homeware to rich seasonal flavours. Shopping locally keeps our high streets vibrant and sustains small-batch artisans who pourtheir heart and soul into everything they make. We’re excited to be bringing another lively market toAcomb’s Front Street this September, we can’t wait to see you all.

”Emma Proudly-Midgley, owner of small artisan business, Golden Triangle Scents and Soak said:

“Golden Triangle Scents & Soak was founded in 2024 when I turned my long-standing passion for artisan fragrance into a dedicated craft business. I create luxurious home scents and natural aromatherapy bath products, all handcrafted with care. With a collection of over 48 wax melt fragrances, there truly is something for everyone, from comforting seasonal blends to uplifting everyday favourites.”

She continues: “Acomb Artisan Market is one of my favourite places to trade, the stalls are wonderfully diverse, and the high street has an unmistakable buzz. We are proudly rooted in the local community, with every product handcrafted in my home studio just fifteen minutes away. September marks the beginning of my favourite season, when the nights draw in and my collections shift into rich autumnal and cosy winter scents that celebrate the beauty of the colder months.”
