This May, the heart of North Yorkshire’s maker community beats on the high streets. The highly anticipated Acomb and Thirsk Artisan Markets curated by Little Bird Made are returning to these popular North Yorkshire locations, inviting residents and visitors to come along and discover the best of local Yorkshire talent.
Featuring a curated selection of the region’s most talented makers, the markets offer the chance to shop small, support local, and discover one-of-a-kind treasures. This weekend kicks off at 10am on Saturday 16 May at the bustling Front Street in Acomb, followed by an artisan showcase in Thirsk on Sunday, 17 May from 10am. From hand poured candles and bespoke jewellery to original artwork and photography and artisanal spirits.The artisan markets are a testament to the thriving creative scene in Yorkshire. These markets provide a direct link between the creators and the customer, ensuring every purchase has a story behind it.
“Our May markets are all about celebrating the transition to Summer,” says Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made. We’ve curated a fantastic mix of regular artisans and fresh new talent at our events. Whether you’re looking for a unique gift or just want to enjoy the sunny atmosphere on Front Street, Acomb or the marketplace in the heart of Thirsk, there is something for everyone.”
