Little Bird Artisan Market returns to Ripon this weekend

Little Bird Made are excited to be returning to their hometown of Ripon this weekend for their first artisan market in 2022.The market takes place on Sunday in the Market Square and is popular with local residents and visitors to the Town. Little Bird staff are looking forward to working in continued partnership with Harrogate Borough Council again this year to ensure the safe delivery of the event.

Ripon was the place where Little Bird was born, after Managing Director Jackie Crozier saw an opportunity to create her own artisan markets. Jackie’s passion for shopping small and shopping local encouraged her to offer local small businesses the opportunity to sell their products and support their growth at high quality artisan markets in prime locations. Her first market took place in the grounds of the Magdalen Pub in October 2018. From then Jackie’s has worked tirelessly despite many obstacles, global pandemics and unkind weather to grow the business into the great success it is today. She now has regular monthly markets in locations around the Yorkshire area and a number of additional pop-up markets which take place throughout the year.

2021 was a very successful year for Little Bird with lots of new market locations, the expansion of existing markets and the year ending on a high with 9 Christmas markets in December. Not one to sit back and rest, Jackie and the Little Bird Team have been working hard behind the scenes to add 3 new Locations to their already extensive portfolio of markets for 2022, with more new locations to be added soon.

In recognition of all the hard work that Jackie and the Little Bird Team has put in over the past couple of years they have been nominated in two categories in the Yorkshire Choice Awards for 2022. Little Bird Made is nominated in the Independent Business of the Year and Jackie in the Business Woman of the Year category. Voting for the Awards is now open. If you have visited the markets, know some of our amazing traders, staff or volunteers and would like to support Little Bird Made you can cast your vote for Little Bird, Jackie, or any of the other categories at https:/www.yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk/votehere

Crozier said, “I’m overwhelmed to be nominated for Business Woman of the Year and would like to thank everyone who nominated me, I’m also so proud of Little Bird Made being nominated as Independent Business of the Year, this has definitely been one of the highlights of my journey from those first markets in 2018”.

She continues, “The business has grown so much over the past few years and the Little Bird Team has expanded to support these developments. I would like to thank everyone who has helped to make Little Bird the success it is today from the traders who continue to support us, staff, volunteers, customers who visit our markets to our partners in local Councils, Town Centres and media contacts who continue to work with us.”
