Little Bird Artisan Markets are coming to Richmond this weekend

Little Bird Made are excited to be holding their first outdoor artisan market in Richmond this weekend. We are working in partnership with Richmond Town Council and are delighted to be expanding our portfolio of monthly markets to the town. The event will take place in the towns Markets Place on Sunday and promises to be a great day out for people of all ages.

Over 60 of Yorkshires finest small businesses will be setting up in the town and showcasing their beautiful hand made goods and locally produced food and drink. The market really will have something for everyone young and old, with goods such as homeware, organic skincare, adult and children’s clothing, art, photography, crafts, children’s toys, candles and delicious food and drink.

This is a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping, knowing that each purchase is helping to support a small local business. Most goods are all handmade so will guarantee that your gift is unique and not available in the shops. Lots of the traders can also do personalised orders, whether that’s a portrait of your pet or a made to order design, so come along and speak to our wonderful traders and discuss your ideas.

Little Bird Markets also have a selection of hot and cold street food vendors and live entertainment throughout the day. Visitors can browse the stalls and enjoy a bite to eat while they listen to the music or grab a coffee while they are walking round. This weekend will include hot drinks by Westy Coffee and Softpots, baked potatoes by The Jacket Inn and lots of sweet treats by When The Cake Door Opens, All Spice and Le Petite Gateau.

Talented local artist Alan Clamp, from AC Landscape Photography will be setting up on Sunday and selling his beautiful images. Alans interest in photography started 45years ago when he got a camera for his 12th birthday. The fabulous Yorkshire scenery on his doorstep and holidays around the British Isles, led him on the path of trying to capture and retain the beauty and feelings of those moments in photography and art. Train, planes, castles, Abbeys, Villages, and wildlife are also featured in his images. Alan also captured the ariel image of Richmond, so drop in and visit him on Sunday or you can find him online

The market will be taking place on Sunday 24th of October, 10am until 3pm in Market Place, Richmond DL10 4JJ. Little Bird will also be heading back on Sunday 28th of November, so put the dates in your diary. Dates for the monthly market in 2022 will be announced soon.
