Little Bird is excited to be returning to Pateley Bridge for their next artisan market, taking place on Sunday 22nd of August at the Nidderdale Showground. There will be 80 traders attending which is one of our largest events, so a great opportunity to meet our traders and see their amazing products, all in one place and in the outdoors.
All our artisan markets are specially curated to give visitors an extensive array of stalls, selling high-quality, handmade goods and local produce that are not available to buy in the shops. There will be a wide mix of goods on offer, something for all ages and tastes. Little Bird is always looking to support new businesses starting out as well as our regular traders who are continually building their customers and products. Some of the 80 traders attending this weekend include: Truly Artisan, The Yorkshire Beeswax Candle Company, Rosie Flo’s, Gazelle Crafts, Little Lovers Ceramics, Evercraft Barrel Furniture, Rainy Day Crafts, Concrete & Cati, Mabel & Faith, Blueberry Hill Preserves, and Mags Totally Tea.
Jackie Crozier, Curator, and Director, is looking forward to bringing Little Bird back to Pateley Bridge. She said, “Pateley Bridge is such a unique venue as we have so much space to accommodate all our wonderful traders and try new layouts and activities. I’m looking forward to our new Food Village and Garden Gin Party, which will give people a chance to enjoy our trader’s fantastic food and drink and hopefully the sun will be shinning”.
Becca Melville from the Bird Watchers Daughter will be there on Sunday. Becca creates beautiful greeting cards, which are inspired by adventures in nature and the cosiness of coming home. She said, “I've thoroughly enjoyed the markets I've attended so far, it's always so lovely to meet customers and other stallholders. I'm really looking forward to Pateley Bridge as I've always had a soft spot for the area, so I think it'll be a great day!”.
Also, Shaun Vickers from Fine Art by Shaun, a talented artist who produces nature, wildlife and pet portraits and images. He commented “I've really enjoyed trading with Jackie and look forward to every Little Bird Market, meeting customers face to face and catching up with the other traders, some of whom have become good friends. It's great to see the quality and variety of stalls and produce on offer, has gone from strength to strength after such an unsettling time for everyone”.
The Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton will be attending from 10am – 12noon, signing copies of his latest book, “A Yorkshire Vet: The Next Chapter” which, follows Julian’s veterinary stories through his work as a vet in North Yorkshire. Another great reason to attend on Sunday, have a chance to meet Julian in person and buy a signed copy of his book as a special gift or treat for yourself.
Alongside the stalls, each market has a variety of hot and cold food vendors, temping visitors with a coffee, crepe or pizza. This weekend will be even better with the creation of the new Little Bird Food Village, where visitors will be able to sit and enjoy some lunch with family and friends or grab a quick coffee as they are walking around. Even better, for some, there will be the Ribble Valley Gin Garden Party, taking place throughout the day. So ditch the car or designate a driver and enjoy a relaxing G&T in the sun. Ribble Valley have a range of Gins, so you can even buy a bottle of your favourite flavour to take home with you.
The market will take place on Sunday 22nd of August from 10am until 3pm on Nidderdale Showground, Pateley Bridge HG3 5HW
Little Bird encourage everyone to attend the market safely, for both traders and members of the public
