The first weekend of the month means Little Bird Made is getting prepared for a busy triple weekend ahead. Friday their artisan market will be visiting Tadcaster, moving to Knaresborough on Saturday and then down to Harrogate on Sunday. That means three opportunities for people to come along and support the traders and purchase products made in Yorkshire.

When Managing director, Jackie Crozier started Little Bird Markets, the aim has always been to support small businesses to grow and encourage people to shop local and this doesn’t just mean shopping at the markets. Through hosting many of the markets in town centres it also encourages people to use their local shops and businesses within their own towns and villages as well. The past couple of years has seen restrictions put on small businesses having the opportunity to attend markets and grow their businesses, but Little Bird came back stronger than ever as soon as they could and can now celebrate the success of 2 of their traders who have grown their wings and secured shop premises to take their business to the next level.

Concrete & Cacti who specialise in beautifully hand-crafted pots and house hold items made from concrete and unique plants to compliment the pots. Many of the items are available in a variety of colours to match any home décor. Laura opened a shop in Boroughbridge earlier this year and it has been popular with locals. Sophie & Jake from the Cheesy Living Company recently opened a shop in Leeds, which is a modern type of deli selling British cheese and Charcuterie. They also do catering for events, online orders, and stock a variety of items from other small businesses in their shop.

Both traders still find time to attend little Bird Markets and Jackie said, “I couldn’t be prouder of the part Little Bird has played in enabling these amazing businesses to grow and develop into the success they are. We really do think of ourselves as a family and love to see our members grow and spread their wings”.

Each market will have a variety of traders selling everything from homeware to skincare and photography to woodwork. There will also be our food and drink traders with their delicious savoury and sweet treats and drinks. Also, our street food vendors with their hot food to keep you fuelled up and ready for shopping.

The markets will take place on:

Saturday 2nd July, 9am – 3pm, Market Place, Knaresborough HG5 8AL
