Little Bird Made are looking forward to another bumper weekend of Christmas Markets

Little Bird Made staff, volunteers and traders are gearing up for another busy weekend of artisan markets. This follows a successful weekend of markets in Harrogate, Boroughbridge and Ripon. Little Bird launched their first market in Valley Gardens, Harrogate on Saturday and Sunday and saw a record number of visitors and traders and food vendors selling out of popular items. Boroughbridge and Ripon were also popular with locals who came out to support the traders and do some Christmas shopping.

This weekend will see the outdoor artisan markets setting up in Easingwold on Saturday, Ripon on Sunday again in partnership with Ripon City Council as part of their community events and also in Wetherby on Sunday, in partnership with The Wetherby Lions as part of the Dickensian Christmas Event. All events will have a wide variety of stalls to cater for all ages, tastes and even the pets, along with our amazing food traders with delicious treats and snacks to keep you warm. Also, a mixture of live entertainment from local singers and choirs to bring some festive cheer and keep everyone entertained.

Little Bird are encouraging people to support our ethos of shopping local and supporting small business, and as we always say, what better way to do this than come along and visit a Little Bird Artisan Market near you. Our traders are all small independent businesses that are based in the Yorkshire area, so all purchases are supporting them to grow and develop.

The markets are great opportunity to buy unique gifts and stock up on local food and drink for the holiday period. Little Bird director, Jackie Crozier said, “After a well-deserved rest following a busy weekend at our last 4 events, all our traders and staff are looking forward to another round of markets this weekend. The markets are a great day out for all ages and are outdoors, so each event is pet friendly, we even have lots of pet stalls to buy their Christmas present. They are also a brilliant opportunity to purchase hand-made goods and local produce, safe in the knowledge that each purchase is supporting a small business and encouraging people back into local town centres”.
