Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird made said, “We have all enjoyed a well-deserved rest over the holiday period, but are looking forward to being back in my hometown this weekend. We trade in some beautiful locations throughout the area, but it is always extra special when I get to bring the market to Ripon and meet up with friends throughout the day. This will be our second market for 2023 and traders are excited to be back out trading and meeting all the visitors who come along. Despite the cold, we promise a warm welcome for everyone and lots of hot drinks and snacks to keep cosy throughout the day”.

The market will have a selection of handmade crafts, homeware and fragrances to decorate any room, organic skin and body care to pamper yourself, creative pieces of local art and photography, children’s clothing and toys, local produce, drinks, sweet treats and lots more. If you are looking to buy a unique gift for someone special or to stock your cupboards with local produce for the month ahead then the market is the place to visit, They are a great day out for all the family with items to suit all ages, a chance to get out in the fresh air for a walk with friends and all events are dog friendly so don’t forget to bring them too.

The ethos behind Little Bird markets is to encourage people to shop local and support small businesses. Also, to encourage people back into town centres not just to visit the markets but to explore the many attractions and local businesses located there. Ripon is one of the smallest cities in the country and is set within the borough of Harrogate. It has many attractions which include the beautiful Cathedral which is home to the smallest surviving Anglo-Saxon crypt in England, Yorkshire Law & Order Museums that gives an insight into life in the Victorian Justice system and the streets surrounding the marketplace are filled with many independent shops and businesses. The famous world heritage site of Studley Royal Park and Fountains Abbey along with Light Water Valley Adventure Park are just a short drive out from the city.
