Little Bird Artisan Markets will be flying back into Ripon City Centre again this weekend for their monthly outdoor market. The artisan market is part of Ripon City Councils Community events and have been a great success, since they resumed earlier this year.

Each market is different with a mixture of current and new traders selling a vast array of goods all handmade or produced locally. Each stall is carefully selected to give visitors a range of goods and opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind items that are not available in the shops.

This month promises not to disappoint with over 50 traders setting up in the Market Place on Sunday. Little Bird Director Jackie Crozier said, “I love holding markets in my hometown, people always come out and support the traders and it’s a great opportunity for people to shop local and support these small businesses. Ripon is open on a Sunday and a great opportunity to visit the established shops in the city”.

Some of the traders attending this weekend are Blueberry Hill Preserve, with a wide selection of cheese, pickles, and jam, all handmade and great for a gift or to have for your lunch. Mabel & Faith is a Ripon business selling beautiful hair piece accessories for any occasion. Another Ripon couple who attends is The Yorkshire Brat offering traditional German Bratwurst sausages. These are just a few of the amazing traders all looking for you to drop by their stall and browse their products.

So come along and have some breakfast or lunch, have a look around the stalls, take the kids on the free fairground rides provided by Ripon City Council and listen to live musicians. The market will take place on Sunday 29 of August and will be open from 10am – 3pm in Market Place, Ripon HG4 1BW.

Little Bird encourage everyone to attend the market safely, for both traders and members of the public.
