Little Bird Made staff, volunteers and traders are getting ready for their big weekend of events. On Saturday Little Bird is joining with Yolk Farm in Boroughbridge for an artisan market and family fun day and on Sunday the BHF will be in Wetherby raising awareness and providing free CPR workshops.
At the start of 2022, Managing Director, Jackie Crozier announced the partnership with The British Heart Foundation and pledge to raise £11,000 for the charity, £1,000 for each year since her dad passed away from a heart attack. Jackie said “The whole Little Bird family has been working hard towards achieving our target, from selling charity-inspired goods, taking part in the Jubilee Raffle through to the more adventurous group who really did get their wings and took part in a Sky Dive over Yorkshire. So far, we have raised an amazing £6,000 and are on target to achieve our goal by December. This weekend the BHF will be providing free CPR workshops throughout the day and you never know when you might need those vital skills to help save a life”.
The CPR workshops will be taking place throughout the day in the Town Hall and people can come along on the day and take part. Beck Beevers, Fundraising Manager at the BHF said, “The Wetherby BHF Fundraising Group and I are delighted to be able to offer CPR training at the Little Bird Market in Wetherby as part of our fundraising partnership. Knowing CPR in an emergency is a lifesaving skill and we’re looking forward to training as many people as possible. We’ll be based downstairs in Wetherby Town Hall for the duration of the market, running CPR sessions every 45mins at: 10:15am, 11am,11:45am, 12:30pm, 1:15pm and 2pm”.
There will also be the usual selection of stalls to purchase all your favourite items such as homeware & fragrances, skin & body care, photography, clothing, crafts, toys, wood & leather goods, preserves, food, baking, alcohol and grab a bite to eat at one of our street food vendors.
Little Bird will also be holding their second artisan market of the year in their new venue in Boroughbridge on Saturday. They are delighted to be returning to Yolk Farm on Minskip Road, the first market in April was really popular and had lots of visitors from both near and far. Along with the market Yolk Farm have a Family Fun Day with a range of activities to keep both little and big people entertained including their farm, inflatable slide, giant games, BBQ, and the Minskip Farm Shop and restaurant will be selling local produce and have a great breakfast, brunch and lunch menu to keep everyone fed.
