Shine a Spotlight On - Makka Rakka

Let's meet Stephanie, the heartbeat of this amazing pre-loved kids-wear small business. 

Prior to starting Makka Rakka, Stephanie was honing her skills in the hospitality and retail industries, with the opportunity to travel to Vancouver Island!! In 2018, Stephanie returned to the UK ready to start a new chapter. 

In 2019 after completing her diploma in Maths and Physics she welcomed identical twin girls, and now, Stephanie was navigating the new world of parenthood and clothes her girls quickly outgrew. 

In a post lock down world, she needed an outlet to continue developing her skills while managing the ever-growing pile of clothes her daughters kept outgrowing. From selling her own children's clothing, this extended to helping out her friends sell their children's clothing, to eventually launching her own consignment service, focusing on helping busy parents who wanted to sell their outgrown clothing but without the hassle of having to do it themselves. 

The business name is not based on a certain C-Beebies character, but inspired from a playground rhyme her Dad used when he was a kid in Huddersfield full of mischief.
