As the first signs of spring emerge and crocuses begin to bloom across the historic grounds of Knaresborough Castle, a beloved local tradition returns. Little Bird Made is set to host its first event of 2026 at the Castle on Saturday, 28 February, kicking off a weekend of festivities that continues on Sunday, 1 March, at the picturesque Harrogate Valley Gardens.
The markets bring together a diverse showcase of unique products crafted by the finest local Yorkshire artisans. Specially curated to ensure a wide variety of high-quality goods, the markets offer something for everyone. Whether visitors are looking to refresh their living space or find a unique hobby piece, they will discover everything from homeware and home fragrance to fine art and photography.With Mother’s Day just around the corner, these two stunning artisan markets provide the perfect opportunity to find a meaningful gift. Shoppers can browse a curated selection of organic skincare, artisan bakes, and locally distilled small-batch gins, craft beers, ciders, and vodkas.

Jemma Thompson, owner of Jemma Ruth Designs says, ‘’We’re absolutely thrilled to becoming back to Knaresborough. It holds such a special place in my heart, we have so many family memories here, so bringing our small family business back to the castle grounds always feels extra special. There’s something magical about trading with that beautiful scenery around us.’’
Jemma continues, ‘’We love catching up with our lovely regular customers and meeting new faces too, it really is the best part of what we do. I can’t wait to be back, soaking up the atmosphere and creating more memories.’’
