Busy Weekend for Little Bird Made

Little Bird Made are gearing up for a visit to their hometown this weekend and also a trip up north to Leyburn. With the sunny weather set to continue, what better way to spend a couple of hours than browsing around an outdoor artisan market in some of Yorkshires beautiful towns.

Ripon is Little Birds home and is always a busy market packed full of stalls with amazing handmade and locally sourced products. The town itself is full of history and tourist attractions to explore. Ripon Cathedral is a beautiful historic building, alive with worship and community events since 672 and attracts over 100,000 visitors a year. It is open for visiting from 12 – 5pm on Sundays so perfect for a visit alongside the market.

Leyburn is another tradition market town in the north and is also packed with history and attractions. If you’re looking for a short walk then The legend of the Shawl is a short walk with stunning views of the surrounding landscape or a short drive will take you to Richmond, Bolton or Middleham Castles for a day of exploring.

Both markets will be packed with smiling traders and high-quality goods all waiting to meet you. Our traders get up early and put lots of hard work into preparing for every market so they can bring you their amazing products. By attending markets rather than selling online, they get to meet their customers, show their range of products, and tell the story behind how their small business started. Some of these were during lockdown when people had time to turn their dreams into a reality but for lots, they have been working hard for a number of years to perfect their products and build the business.

Each market is specially curated, so they are all unique with a wide mix of stalls and goods. There are always new traders joining the Little Bird community and will bring new items to the markets. Alongside the craft, art, photography, clothing, homeware and fragrance, skin & body care, accessories, jewellery, toys, pet treats & accessories stalls there are lots of food and drink options, there really is something for all your needs and wants. Our street food vendors will also be there to keep you fuelled with hot and cold food options for snacks, brunch or lunch as you browse the market.
