CELEBRATE THE SUMMER IN NORTH YORKSHIRE: LITTLE BIRD MADE BRINGS ARTISAN VIBES TO RIPON AND RICHMOND THIS SUNDAY

Two of North Yorkshire’s most historic destinations will burst into summer life this weekend as the popular Little Bird Artisan Markets host events in the historic city of Ripon and the picturesque market town of Richmond on Sunday 28 June 2026.

Running from 10am to 3pm, both outdoor markets are free to attend, and family and dog friendly. They offer the ultimate summer day out for locals and tourists looking to experience the very best of Yorkshire’s independent creative talent. Nestled against the stunning backdrop of Ripon’s 1,300 year old cathedral heritage and Richmond’s iconic cobbled streets on the edge of the Dales, the artisan markets will feature a curated selection of independent traders. Visitors can expect an eclectic mix of handcrafted goods from ceramics, bespoke jewellery, original art and photography and beautifully fragranced candles and reed diffusers.

“There is something incredibly special about North Yorkshire in the peak of summer,” said Jackie Crozier, Managing Director and Founder of Little Bird Made. “Bringing our artisan markets to both Ripon and Richmond on the same day allows us to create a massive celebration of small businesses. Whether you are wandering past Ripon’s historic obelisk or exploring Richmond’s castle views, it is the perfect excuse to get outdoors, support the local economy, and make a full day of it.”

Hannah Bew, owner of Rose and Bramley said, “We had a brilliant time trading with Little Bird Made in Ripon over the May Bank Holiday weekend! Ripon is a fantastic, bustling market town and it is always a pleasure to meet so many of the local residents and visitors to this gorgeous city. It is the perfect way to spend a summer's day. We can’t wait to be back.”

Victoria Hindle, owner of Mud and More said, “This is our first season of trading in Richmond with Little Bird Made and we eagerly anticipate each market. We love coming to Richmond, we get to showcase our community pottery that’s based in Barnard Castle.”She continues, “The market itself is artisan led, and it’s fantastic being surrounded by fellow artists. It is the kind of market we’d seek as customers. We have gained many new potters from the conversations started on our stall. Thank you Little Bird for all that you do and are.”
