SUMMER DAYS OUT: LITTLE BIRD MADE BRINGS SUNSHINE AND SMALL BUSINESSES TO MALTON THIS WEEKEND
With summer officially underway, Malton’s Marketplace is gearing up to host its monthly artisan market on Saturday 27 June 2026. Organised by Little Bird Made, the popular event is throwing its weight behind a vital community message, come and celebrate the sunshine by supporting small businesses on our local high streets.
Running from 10am, the outdoor artisan market will feature a curated lineup of independent traders, local makers, creators and craft producers from across Yorkshire. Visitors can expect stalls offering everything from hand-crafted jewellery and home decor to artisanal skin care and locally produced food and drink.
“When you buy from an artisan market, you aren’t just getting something unique, you are directly putting money back into a small family run business, an independent creator, and the backbone of the high street,” said Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made. “Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors, enjoy our beautiful market towns, and rediscover the variety that independent shopping offers.”
Steph Haye, owner of small artisan business, Glazed said, “We’re back! I really love returning to Malton Artisan Market. I feel so lucky to be part of this incredible local community and to watch my business grow alongside so many talented creators. If you love discovering unique finds and support local, this is the place to be. Swing by, grab a fresh coffee, stained glass gifts and much more. Come and soak up the market vibes, we’ll see you there.”
Malton, widely celebrated as Yorkshire’s Food Capital, will run the artisan market alongside an amazing high street of independent shops, making the town an ideal day trip destination for families, foodies and dogs alike.
