Double Markets for Mothers Day Weekend

littlebird made • March 16, 2023

Little Bird Artisan Markets are getting ready for a weekend of double markets in Tadcaster and Thirsk, which means double the opportunity to buy some last-minute gifts for the special females in your life. The markets are a great day out, so why not bring your mums, grans, nans, wife’s and special females along with you, grab a coffee, wander around the market and treat her to a unique gift. Thirsk and Tadcaster also have lots of restaurants, cafes and hotels offering lunch or dinner options after a day of shopping.

Both markets will be packed with lots of gift ideas from candles, organic skincare, homeware, crafts, art, photography, clothing, accessories and lots more. There will also be stalls for everyone else as well including pet accessories and treats, children’s clothing, accessories, crafts, food, alcoholic drinks, cakes and bakes and hot and cold drinks and food vendors.

Staff and traders are looking forward to returning to Tadcaster this weekend for their first market of the year and are excited to be setting up in their new location in the Britannia Car Park. This means even more traders can join the market and bring their handmade goods and products to the town.

Managing director, Jackie Crozier said, “It is great when we get the opportunity to expand our markets and move to bigger premises. Moving to a Saturday as well, gives us the chance to bring a wider variety of traders to the town and offer bigger and better markets, which also encourages more footfall into the local town centre. We are delighted to continue our partnership with David and Kirsty and also with Selby Council and are looking forward to being back in Tadcaster on Saturday.”

David and Kirsty from TEMPT added “For the past few years we’ve run a lovely little monthly market on the Cobbles in Tadcaster, but our customers wanted more, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be launching this new market at the Britannia in central Tadcaster in partnership with Little Bird Made. Tadcaster hasn’t seen a regular market of this size for many years and we hope it is a roaring success, bringing new footfall to the town and helping existing high street businesses to flourish too. Thanks to Selby Council for use of their carpark and of course to Jackie for having faith in our little town”.

The markets this weekend will be located at:

Saturday 18 th March, 10am – 3pm, Britannia Car Park, Tadcaster LS24 8AB

Sunday 21 st February, 10am – 3pm, Market Place, Thirsk YO7 1EY

Little Bird applications are open for markets dates from now until the end of August. Anyone looking to join the markets this year to sell their products, applications for both spring and summer market dates can be found at www.littlebirdmade.com   or if you have any questions email: info@littlebirdmade.co.uk
