Join Little Bird in Celebrating International Women’s Day

littlebird made • March 8, 2023

This week is International Women’s Day and Little Bird are celebrating all our amazing female business owners, makers, bakers, creators, artists, crafters and producers who both trade and support traders at Little Bird Made markets.

We can’t celebrate without honouring Little Birds own maker and creator Jackie Crozier, without her vision and drive Little Bird would not be here to support all the small businesses in Yorkshire. Little Bird has been operating for 5 years and with Jackie’s knowledge and skills has grown from it’s first market in Ripon to over 10 monthly markets and lots of larger scale seasonal events and pop-up markets. A testament to all her work, Little Bird Made has been nominated for 2 awards at the upcoming Yorkshire Choice Awards, in the categories of Independent Business of the Year and Jackie in Business Woman of the Year. Voting is open and can be found at www.yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk/voteforme

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director said “We are fortunate to work with so many inspirational women every week at our markets, who are following their dreams and overcome any obstacles put in their way to ensure their businesses are a success. I was lucky enough to grow up in a family of strong fearless women. Unfortunately, my closest cheerleaders have since passed on, but their legacy lives on through me. The best piece of advice I was given was to have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you. If you have enough passion and drive for what you want to do, you will get there and that’s what all our amazing traders are doing every day”.

Come along to this weekend’s markets in Easingwold and Wetherby and meet the traders behind the products and find out their stories and what inspires them. The markets will be packed with lots of local produce, home fragrance, body care, photography, art, homeware, crafts, glass, jewellery, food and drink. Along with our street food vendors who will keep you fuelled and hydrated as you browse the stalls. The markets will also be a great opportunity to buy the special women in your life a unique gift for Mother’s Day.

This weekend’s markets will be in the following locations:

Saturday , 11 th March, 9am – 2pm, Market Place, Easingwold YO61 3AA

Sunday 12 th March, 10am – 3pm, Market Place Wetherby LS22 6NE

Little Bird applications are open for markets dates from now until the end of August for any people looking to trade at the markets. For further information visit www.littlebirdmade.com   or if you have any questions please email: info@littlebirdmade.co.uk
