FROM HISTORIC EASINGWOLD TO VIBRANT ACOMB: LITTLE BIRD MADE BRINGS SUMMER ARTISAN MARKETS TO NORTH YORKSHIRE

North Yorkshire’s vibrant independent scene takes centre stage on Saturday, 8 August as Little Bird Made invites locals and visitors to experience the best in regional craft, street food and artisan produce. Whether you are looking to explore a picture perfect historic market town or dive into a bustling feast of local flavours, both Easingwold and Front Street, Acomb offer the perfect summer Saturday out for families, foodies and our four legged family members.

Nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, the historic market town of Easingwold will come alive with an array of handpicked artisan stalls, where visitors can enjoy browsing unique handmade crafts, home decor, and bespoke creations from local makers, as well as freshly baked goods. Soak up the summer sun once you have browsed the stalls, by enjoying a coffee in one of the local coffee shops outdoor seating areas.

Over in York, Front Street, Acomb hosts the monthly Flourish & Feast market, dedicated to food, drink and floral celebration curated to showcase the region’s top culinary talent. From delicious street eats, handcrafted cakes and desserts to regional small batch artisanal drinks and beautiful floral displays.

“Our markets are all about celebrating the incredible passion of local independent traders and bringing communities together,” says Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made. “Whether you are hunting for unique homeware in Easingwold or grabbing a bite to eat with your dog in Acomb, Saturday 8 August is shaping up to be a fantastic day out for everyone.”

Jane Vafeas, owner of small jewellery business, JBG Handmade, said, “As everything I sell is made by me and almost all is unique, I always say when you see what I make, you see something different. When you buy from me, you have found something different. I can’t wait to welcome my regular and new customers to my stall in Easingwold.”

Craig Holmes, owner of BakeMi, said, “We're really looking forward to joining Flourish & Feast at Acomb on 8th August. Markets like this are a fantastic way to connect with the local community, meet new customers, and share a taste of traditional Portuguese baking with people who may be discovering it for the first time.”

He continues, “We always enjoy being part of Little Bird Markets, who create such welcoming,well-organised events with a great mix of independent businesses. It's the perfect opportunity for visitors to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy a relaxed day out with family and friends. We'll be bringing a selection of our handmade Portuguese favourites, all baked with care using traditional recipes, and we just cannot wait to meet everyone in Acomb.”
