Harrogate Valley Gardens Was Simply Incredible

Last Sunday’s Little Bird Artisan Market in Harrogate Valley Gardens was nothing short of amazing. With blue skies above us and that unmistakable feeling that spring has finally arrived, the gardens were absolutely buzzing from the moment we opened.

The pathways were filled with visitors, families, dogs, friends catching up, and shoppers proudly carrying bags full of handmade, local treasures. The atmosphere felt joyful, relaxed and genuinely celebratory — exactly what supporting small business should feel like.

The feedback from our traders says it all.

A Real Celebration of Local Talent

Keavey – Keaves Coffee shared:

“This weekend was my first time at Harrogate Valley Gardens, the venue was so picturesque and it really felt like spring had arrived. The atmosphere was amazing and I met so many lovely customers and other stall holders. It felt like a real celebration of local talent. I can’t wait to return for Easter weekend!”

Sold Out Before Lunchtime

For some traders, the day exceeded all expectations.

Sumith Babu – Nourish by Sumith told us:

“Our first Little Bird Market at Harrogate Valley Gardens was incredible, we sold out by 12:30 pm! The atmosphere, customers and support from the team made it one of our best trading days ever. We can’t wait to return.”

All the people who came and supported our small business. It is a great testament to the market organiser, the staff and the great sense of community in Harrogate. Proud of Yorkshire.”

“Marley Moo’s Wardrobe have just had our best market day ever in Harrogate Valley Gardens with the wonderful Little Bird Made. And it’s all thanks to you for shopping small and supporting my dream. It’s true what they say, hard work pays off if you just believe in yourself.”

Community, Conversation and Connection

It wasn’t just about sales — it was about connection.

Suzanne Lythgow – The Happy Hot Dog Hotel captured it perfectly:

“What a fantastic day in Harrogate. Natural Dog Treats from The Happy Hot Dog Hotel headed home with full hearts and so much gratitude. Thank you for the love, support, and brilliant conversations — not just for us, but for all the wonderful traders and team Little Bird this weekend. Communities like this is what keeps small businesses thriving.”

Lita Krumina – Smitten With Flowers described the magic of the day:

“Valley Gardens came alive with sunshine we finally had on our faces, it lifted everyone’s mood. Catch ups were had with old customers, getting to know you chats with new. Artisans showcasing their best work, visitors with smiles on their faces walking away with purchases. Magic.”

Karolina Brigden – Crafts and Bubbles said:

“We love coming back to Little Birds Harrogate Valley Gardens. It's such a lovely set up and the locals really do come out to chat to us and show their support for us. We will keep coming back.”

Why This Market Matters

The Little Bird Artisan Market in Harrogate Valley Gardens is more than a shopping event. It is:

A platform for small, independent businesses

A boost to the local economy

A reason for people to visit and stay in town

A space for connection, creativity and community

Seeing traders sell out, have record-breaking days, and leave feeling valued and supported is exactly why we do what we do.

To everyone who came, shopped small, chatted, shared posts, and supported local — thank you. You made Sunday what it was.

We cannot wait to do it all again.
