LITTLE BIRD MARKETS – A FRESH TAKE ON ACOMB'S FOOD AND DRINK SCENE

Little Bird are spreading their wings this summer with a new artisan food and drink market, Acomb Flourish & Feast!! Bringing a modern twist on the traditional outdoor markets, which is what Yorkshire is famous for. 

Starting on Saturday, 12 July and running for six months on the second Saturday of each month, the new market will highlight the finest purveyors of street food, fresh produce, from pasta to flowers as well as freshly baked goods including breads and tasty sweet treats. As well as offering beautiful ingredients for simple home cooking, or even a bite on the go, this is where you find it!! 

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird has this to say on the new Acomb Flourish and Feast event, “We are beyond excited to be bringing this new market to the Front Street in Acomb. Working with local councillors to bring this new market which is tailored to locals, visitors and tourists as well as the local high street shops, this will be a welcome addition to an already thriving community each month.” 

Jackie continues, “I am delighted to be taking our food and drink market to Acomb and adding to the already successful monthly artisan market. Each market is specially curated to ensure there is a wide range of goods on offer to suit all ages and tastes.”

Councillor Emily Nelson said, “This is fantastic news for Front Street. Along with other Labour councillors we pushed hard for the return of the market and have worked closely with Little Bird Markets to ensure it works for residents, shoppers and businesses. We are delighted it will now be twice a month.”
