On Sunday, 21 June the popular Thirsk Artisan Market returns to the town's cobbled Market Place from 10am, promising a vibrant day out for families, foodies and visitors looking to explore the heart of North Yorkshire. Curated by Little Bird Made, this month’s event lines up perfectly with Father’s Day, offering a brilliant opportunity to treat Dad to an afternoon of discovery.
Visitors can wander through a selection of independent, Yorkshire artisans showcasing high quality, handmade goods including unique crafts including handmade pottery and woodwork, original art and photography, locally distilled spirits, cheeses and freshly baked cakes and savoury treats.Nestled between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, Thirsk is famously known as the home of All Creatures Great and Small author James Herriot.
Beyond the vibrant outdoor market, visitors are encouraged to make a full day of it by exploring the town’s rich history, traditional pubs, independent boutiques and world class heritage attractions.
“We are thrilled to be back in Thirsk this Sunday,” said Jackie Crozier, Founder and Managing Director of Little Bird Made. “Our artisan markets are all about connecting passionate, independent creators with the local community. It is the perfect excuse to get the family together, grab a unique gift for Dad, and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this historic North Yorkshire town.”
