SUPPORT LOCAL WITH LITTLE BIRD MADE IN LEYBURN MARKETPLACE THIS WEEKEND
Get ready for a wonderful day out as Little Bird Made returns to Leyburn marketplace on Saturday, 26 July from 9am. This popular monthly event showcases local talent, unique handcrafted goods and delicious artisanal produce.
The Leyburn artisan market offers a vibrant platform for independent makers and producers to connect directly with the local community. Visitors can expect to find high quality items from bespoke jewellery, artwork and photography, handcrafted homewares and so much more. The market provides a welcoming and family friendly atmosphere, encouraging visitors to the market to browse and chat with these artisan traders and learn the story behind the craft.
Jackie Crozier, managing director of Little Bird Made says, ‘’We are incredibly excited to bring our artisans back to the heart of Leyburn for our monthly artisan market. Our markets are all about celebrating the creativity and passion of local Yorkshire artisans. It is a perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to support small businesses, not just at the market but also the high street and find truly unique items you won’t find online.’’
Jane Vafeas, who is bringing her small business JBG Handmade, has this to say on trading at Leyburn this weekend, ‘’I’ve always been creative and made things. It got to the stage where it was more than the odd make and I realised I had to start selling the items I was making. Little Bird Artisan markets came to the rescue with my first market in Richmond Market Place in November 2021. I’ve traded with them when I can ever since at several markets in North Yorkshire. Each market is well organised by Jackie and her team, and there is always great community feeling.’’
