FLAT CAPS AND ARTISAN TREATS: LITTLE BIRD MADE BRINGS YORKSHIRE DAY CELEBRATIONS TO KNARESBOROUGH CASTLE AND HARROGATE VALLEY GARDENS

This summer, the ultimate celebration of God’s Own County is coming to two of North Yorkshire’s most iconic locations. A spectacular three day weekend of artisan markets curated by Little Bird Made, promising a joyful mix of heritage, local treats, live music, and classic North Yorkshire charm.

The celebrations kick off above the River Nidd, as Little Bird Made and their artisans head to the grounds of Knaresborough Castle on Friday, 31 July and Saturday, 1 August, the official Yorkshire Day. Expect a sea of flat caps, a bustling atmosphere, and a mouth watering array of regional treats, unique crafts and one of a kind finds. It is a celebration of the county’s incredible heritage set against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the region.

On Sunday, 2 August, you will find an array of artisans in the gorgeous spa town of Harrogate. Surrounded by vibrant floral displays, the artisan market offers the perfect day out for the whole family. Wander the stalls, browse handcrafted products and enjoy a moment of soaking up the summer atmosphere, with a picnic in the park with delicious street eats from the artisan food traders.

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made, said, “Yorkshire Day is all about pride, community and great food, paired with a full weekend of artisan markets you have the perfect family day out. By pairing the historic, dramatic setting of Knaresborough Castle with the relaxed atmosphere of Harrogate Valley Garden, we’re showcasing the absolute best of our region. Whether you’re donning your favourite flat cap or enjoying a picnic in the park, there is something for everyone this Yorkshire Day weekend.”

Ryan Pearson, owner of Bird and Bramble said, “Knaresborough Castle is a stunning venue for a diverse artisan market, come along, browse the stalls, treat yourself, and enjoy the views and enjoy a great day out."

Jane Cleary of Jane Cleary Photography, said, "My biggest business mistake was over-reliance on social media - for years! What I've since discovered is that there's absolutely no substitute for coming out from behind a computer screen and meeting people in the local community face-to-face. It's the best business decision I've made. I can’t wait to be back in Harrogate Valley Gardens, pop by and say hello."The outdoor markets running from 10am to 3pm across the weekend, offer green spaces perfect for everyone to enjoy, including your dogs.
