From Handcrafted Wares to Gourmet Eats: Discover North Yorkshire's Independent Makers This Saturday With Little Bird Made

Little Bird Made is bringing a double celebration of local talent to North Yorkshire on Saturday, 10 October, hosting two outdoor artisan markets in Easingwold and Acomb. Designed to support the high street and champion independent makers, both markets invite locals and visitors alike to enjoy the best of autumn while discovering unique, handcrafted goods and regional flavours.

In Easingwold, the popular Artisan Market returns to the Market Place from 9am to 2pm, showcasing a curated selection of handmade crafts, home fragrance, ceramics, jewellery and seasonal autumn crafts and gifts.

Over on Front Street, Acomb, is a day for the foodies, with the Flourish and Feast Market from 10am to 3pm. Dedicated entirely to regional culinary delights, the event features sizzling hot street food, small-batch artisanal drinks, freshly baked goods, local produce, pet treats, and seasonal floral displays.

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made, said:

“Autumn is one of our absolute favourite times of year to host our outdoor markets. As the days cool down, there’s nothing better than wrapping up warm, enjoying seasonal treats, and supporting independent makers who put so much heart into their craft. Shopping local isn’t just about finding something special, it’s about keeping our high streets vibrant and supporting small businesses right in our community. Whether you're hunting for unique autumn crafts in Easingwold or enjoying incredible food and drink in Acomb, we can't wait to welcome everyone this Saturday.”

Duncan Burnett, owner of small artisan business Cabinet 27, said:

“As a small business, opportunities like the Flourish and Feast market in Acomb are absolutely vital. It gives us traders the platform to engage with the local community, showcase craftsmanship, and bring high-quality, locally made goods straight to the heart of Front Street. We are proud to be part of the Little Bird Made artisan markets, and being part of something that supports independent traders and brings people together.”

Dawn Outen, owner of Crafty Dawn Outen, said:

“We love the energy of these markets with Little Bird Made. For us at Crafty Dawn Outen, it is a fantastic opportunity to connect with people face to face, showcase our handmade creations, and highlight the incredible variety of independent talent we have right here on our doorstep. We can’t wait to welcome you all to Easingwold on Saturday.”

Both events are free to attend, family and dog friendly, providing the perfect reason to get outside, support small independent traders, and explore local high street businesses.
