LITTLE BIRD MADE’S MALTON ARTISAN MARKET CELEBRATES SUMMER AND LOCAL TALENT THIS AUGUST
Curated and hosted by Little Bird Made, Malton is preparing to welcome its vibrant monthly Artisan Market on Saturday, 22 August. Visitors and locals alike are invited to enjoy the ultimate late summer day out in the heart of Malton’s historic Market Place, featuring a handpicked selection of local makers, independent creators, and exceptional food producers.
Set against the backdrop of Malton’s Georgian streets, the August market celebrates the very best of British summer. Visitors can explore stalls bursting with handmade crafts, bespoke jewellery, original art, homewares, and seasonal treats. Central to the artisan market's charm is the famous ‘Made In Malton’ ethos. Visitors can sample and shop an array of locally produced delicacies, from craft beers and small batch gins to freshly baked breads, and handcrafted confectionery, all crafted right in the town’s bustling maker quarters.
Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made said, “August is such a brilliant time to visit Malton, and we are delighted to be bringing our artisan market back to the heart of the town. Our markets are all about creating a warm, social atmosphere where people can catch up with friends, soak up the summer vibes, and discover incredible small businesses. From gorgeous handcrafted items to outstanding ‘Made In Malton’ food and drink, there really is something special for everyone to enjoy.”
Georgina Wager, owner of Catlow Yarns, said, “We are delighted to be returning to trade at the Little Bird Artisan Market in Malton. It’s a wonderful market set in a beautiful location, packed with talented independent makers and creatives. If you love knitting, crochet, felting or all things woolly, come along and say hello, we’d love to see you there!”
Beyond boutique shopping, Little Bird Made creates a lively social atmosphere where the market doubles as a community gathering spot. The surrounding town square offers outdoor seating, and bustling indie cafes, creating the perfect backdrop to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon.
