EXPLORE NORTH YORKSHIRE THIS SUMMER: SHOPPING,HISTORY, AND RIVERSIDE WALKS AT RICHMOND THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday, 23 August, Richmond’s historic Market place will come alive with vibrant stalls, local crafts, and small batch food and drink as the Artisan Market returns. Running from 10am to 3pm, the outdoor event offers the perfect summer weekend outing for families, foodies, and shoppers looking to support independent creators.
The artisan market features a curated lineup of regional makers, designers, and food producers. Visitors can browse unique handmade jewellery, home decor, ceramics, natural skincare, as well as regional small batch preserves, all while enjoying street food and artisan treats against this iconic North Yorkshire backdrop.
“We are absolutely delighted to bring our artisan market to Richmond this Sunday,” said Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made. “Our mission is all about celebrating independent Yorkshire producers, and giving people a reason to spend a full day exploring this beautiful market town. Whether you’re hunting for unique handmade crafts, picking up delicious local treats, or heading out for a scenic riverside walk with the family and the dog in Richmond afterwards, it’s a fantastic summer day for the whole family.”
Dawn Outen, of small business Crafty Dawn Outen, said, “Little Bird Markets are run by a well organised team and are a pleasure to work with. They ensure that each market is an enjoyable day out for everyone from traders to visitors, where you’re sure to find that original gift you’ll not find anywhere else. We can’t wait to welcome you to Richmond this Sunday.”
If you’re heading to Richmond, and picked up your artisanal treats, top off your visit with a peaceful riverside walk along the River Swale. Follow the scenic paths down toward the Batt or Richmond Falls, take in the view of Richmond Castle overhead, or enjoy a picnic with fresh market produce along the water’s edge.
