RICHMOND MARKETPLACE PREPARES FOR THE RETURN OF LITTLE BIRD MADE’S ARTISAN SHOWCASE
After a standout event last month featuring a visit from the Mayor of Richmond, Cllr Carl Tate, the Richmond Artisan Market is set to return to the historic marketplace on Sunday, 26 April,2026.
The market will run from 10am to 3pm, transforming the cobbled heart of the town into a bustling hub of creativity and local commerce. Last month’s event saw a fantastic community turnout, bolstered by the presence of Cllr Carl Tate, who took the time to meet with local artisan traders and experience the diverse range of products on offer.
Curated by Little Bird Made, this month’s market promises an even wider selection of high quality goods including unique crafts, handcrafted jewellery, ceramics and bespoke home decor and home fragrance. Visitors to the market will also be able to browse original art and photography, as well as enjoy delicious local food and artisan bakes.
“The energy for our return to Richmond last month was incredible, especially with the Mayor joining us to celebrate Richmond’s local talent,” says Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made. She continues, “We are thrilled to bring the same spirit back this April, providing a platform for small businesses and a great day out for residents and visitors alike.”
Shanice Palmer, owner of Kurroc said, “Kurroc was built through markets over the past four years, so trading at Richmond Artisan Market holds real meaning for us. Markets create spacefor connection - where people can slow down, experience scent properly, and take somethinghome that’s been made with care. Each product is handcrafted in small batches using essential oils, designed to bring calm and a sense of grounding into everyday spaces. It’s always special to be part of a market that values craft, community, and creativity.”
The Richmond Artisan Market is a monthly event running until October, dedicated to showcasing the finest independent traders from across the region. Held in the historic Richmond Market Place, it aims to foster community spirit and support the local economy by highlighting high-quality, handmade goods.
